　10時間以上悪路をジープで走ったことから夕食後直ぐにまどろんだ。気がつくと10時をまわっていた。主人はロッジの展望台に行きそこに神々しいダウラギリ（8167m）を見た。ニルギリ連峰は雲の中であった。午前３時に起きて展望台に行くとニルギリ連峰（7061m）の上には無数の星が輝いていたがダウラギリが雲の中であった。主人はダウラギリの朝焼けが見られることを天に祈った。

My master dozed off after dinner immediately, because he ran in the bad road by jeep more than ten hours. It was past 10:00 when he noticed. He went to the observatory of the lodge and watched divine Mt. Dhaulagiri (8,167m). The Nilgiri mountain range (7,061m) was in a cloud. On the other hand, when he was up at 3:00 a.m. and went to the observatory, innumerable stars shined on the Nilgiri mountain range, but there was Mt. Dhaulagiri in a cloud. He prayed to see the morning glow of Mt. Dhaulagiri.
