夕方の状況から判断して星空は期待できなかった。主人はゆっくり夕食をとった。それでも万が一晴れたらと思いビールは我慢した。夕食が終わりに近づいた19：30pmにホテルから今星が見えていると伝えられた。急いで準備をして外に出た。外に出ると一瞬ではあったが宝剣岳から天の川が立ち上がっているのが見られた。カメラをセットしているあいだに雲の中に消えた。南アルプスの方の星にカメラを向けて数枚シャッターを切った。星空の微笑みはほんの2,3分であった。

Judging from the look of the sky, my master thought it would be difficult to expect the starlit sky. So, he had diner slowly. He thought that he was able to take photos by any chance if it was fine. He endured the beer. When he almost finished his diner at 19:30pm, he heard an announcement that it was possible to see stars now. He prepared to take photos hastily and went out. He saw the Milky Way for a little while. It was so short time, so he could not take a photo. He took several photos of the Southern Alps and stars. The smile of the starlit sky was just two or three minutes.

写真教室は午後3:00頃から千畳敷カールで開催された。雲が湧き午後の日差しが弱く写真撮影には“光が足りない”状況であった。光を待ちながら撮影した。津野先生から千畳敷の造形と山並みを組み合わせた山岳写真の撮りかたを指導していただいた。

今年も山岳写真家津野先生の写真教室（https://www.chuo-alps.com/2月9日%E3%80%80津野先生の写真教室/）が2月8日、２月9日に千畳敷カールで開催された。開講案内があってから数日後に申し込んだがキャンセル待ちとなった。幸いも年末にキャンセルが出た。２月7日は悪天候でロープウェイは運休。8日の早朝、我猫ジローの主人が松本を出発した時には黒雲が空を覆い冷たい風が吹き荒れていた。今日も運休かと思いながら高速道路を走ったという。駒ヶ根に着く頃には快晴となり、ロープウェイも運行するという。始発のロープウェイに乗れた。ロープウェイが中腹に差し掛かると“樹氷だ”と複数の乗客が叫びデジカメを取り出した。千畳敷カールで樹氷が見られるのは12月末まで、この時期には珍しい。千畳敷カールには10時頃到着し早々撮影を開始した。
カールには“冴返る”前に起こった雪崩が見られた。主人は極楽平の方に数十メートル登ったが、昨日の悪天候と寒気団の影響でアイゼンを付けていても滑落するのではと思うほどに雪面は凍り硬かった。15キロ以上のカメラ機材を持ってそれ以上に上に登ることは危険と思い引き返し、カール下で岳樺と宝剣岳の写真を写真教室が開催される14時半近くまで撮った。

Mr. Tsuno, who was a famous mountain-photographer, held a photograph lesson on February 8 and February 9 at the Senjojiki Cirque. The ropeway was suspended by bad weather on February 7. When my master left Matsumoto on the early morning of 8th, black clouds covered the sky, and cold wind raged. He ran on the expressway, while thinking whether the ropeway was suspension today. When he arrived at Komagane, it became clear. He was able to get on the first ropeway.
A huge snowslide, which had been generated before “being extremely clear”, was seen in the Senjojiki Cirque. My master climbed dozens of meters towards the Gokuraku-daira. The surface of the snow froze so hard. He was afraid that he slipped down if he climbed more higher even if he attached crampons.

冴返る
昨夕（9日）は日本列島に観測史上最も強い寒気が入り込み、雪のため関東各地では交通渋滞・事故、さらに羽田と成田を発着する100便以上が欠航し、北海道では零下30度以下になったと報じられた。
松本は薄っすらと積もる程度であったが、冷え込んだ。ここのところの暖かさに咲き始めた小梅も今朝の寒さにじっと耐えている様子だ。主人は“冴返る”と言った。
To be bitterly cold
It is said, " to be bitterly cold" with the state that it is cold remarkably again after becoming warm. Yesterday, the cold air mass, which was the strongest one in recorded history, got into the Japanese Islands. Traffic jams and traffic accidents happened because of snow in the various places in Kanto Ares. More than 100 flights, to arrive and depart in both Hamada and Narita, were canceled. It was reported that the temperature was lower than minus 30 degrees in Hokkaido.
Snow was piled up slightly, though; it was so chilly in Matsumoto. My master watched the flowers of the plum, and said, “To be bitterly cold”.

立春
今日２月4日は立春。 立春の頃に寒気や荒天のピークとなることが多いが、今日は東京が19度、松本が13度と３月から４月上旬の気温となった。昨日爺ヶ岳に“種まき爺さん”の雪形が現れ始めているのを見た主人は季節が１カ月以上早く進んでいるのではないかと思ったようだ。
Risshunn (First Day of Spring)
Today, February 4, is the Risshunn (First Day of Spring). It often becomes the peak of a chill and the stormy weather in the Risshunn. However, it became the temperature from March to the beginning of April today in Japan's Pacific coast. Tokyo became 19 degrees and Matsumoto became 13 degrees.
Yesterday, my master saw the remaining snow of "the seeding old man" in Mt. Jiigatake began to appear. So, he seemed to think that it was early, and a season might advance more than one month.

Risshunn (First Day of Spring)

鹿教湯温泉 夢祈願
仕事帰りに鹿教湯温泉に立ち寄り“氷灯篭夢祈願”を見に行ってきたという。氷灯篭は湯端通りから五台橋を渡って文殊堂へさらに薬師堂周辺まで氷“篭”に蝋燭がともされる幻想的なイベントである。文殊堂には智慧を司る文殊菩薩が、薬師堂には医薬を司る仏・医王である薬師如来が祭られている。

My master went to drop in at Kakeyu Hot spring for a work return, and to watch "Ice Lanterns ". As for the ice lanterns, a candle is turned on of an ice "basket". The lanterns displayed from “the hot water street” to both Monjudo (hall dedicated to the Bodhisattva of wisdom and intellect, Monju) and Yakushido (hall dedicated to the Bodhisattva of the physician of souls, Yakushi).

音楽は思い出を蘇らせる力があるという。主人は本にも当てはまると思った。数年前に高校時代に使った英作文の教材全３巻のうち１巻が出てきた。その時はこんなテキストを使ったなと思っただけでそれきりになっていた。ふと気になってネットで検索したところ50年以上前に使ったテキストが現役で2012年に改訂新版として発刊されていることを知った主人は早々丸善に発注した。届いたテキスト全３巻を紐解きながら高校時代の走馬灯を楽しんでいるようだ。

It is said that the music has power to revivify a memory. My master thinks that a book also has such power. One of three English compositions that he used in high school days came out several years ago. At that time, he did not care about it. Recently, he knew that “This book is published in now that passed more than 50 years!” So, he ordered all three volumes from Maruzen.
Receiving and opening pages of books lightly, he seemed to enjoy a revolving lantern of high school days.
