フンザ２ 陸路（イスラマバード から カリマバード）
空路でイスラマバードに飛び、陸路で中国が開発しているカラコルム・ハイウェイを二日間走ってカリマバードに着いた。ハイウェイと言っても名ばかりで舗装されているところはほんの一部であった。3月22日からラマダンに入ったことから敬虔なガイドさんは、昼間は食事も水も飲まずに熱心にガイドをしてくれた。車窓から人々の暮らしを垣間見た。ビン･ラディンが殺害された地域を通り、アレキサンドロス大王が造ったとされるカイバル峠に繋がる道路を通り、シルクロードの痕跡をみながら、また厳しい戒律で知られる地方では高い山の上に小さな集落を作っているのを見た。カラコルム・ハイウェイでの圧巻はデコトラとナンガ･パルパットの雄姿であった。

They got on the microbus, which they chartered, from Islamabad and ran for two days on the Karakoram Highway that China developed. Finally, they arrived at Karimabad. They enjoyed looking at the constantly changing scene from the bus window.

フンザ
早いものでフンザを訪れてから一年が経った。その記録を残そうと思っている。
フンザ１ 桃源郷
我が猫ジローの主人はいつ頃からか、多分中学生時代に美術全書を読んでいた頃からだろうか、何時か西域の地特にガンダーラ地方を訪れたいと思っていたようだ。ガンダーラ地方の岩絵がダム建設により早ければ2,3年以内に遅くも数年後にはダム湖に水没することを知った主人はガンダーラ地方に行きたいと思った。新型コロナウイルス感染リスクが減少した３月末にパキスタンに飛んだ。イスラマバードから丸二日間バスに揺られて桃源郷と言われるフンザに着いた。フンザ近郊は杏の花、アーモンドの花そして桜が満開であった。ポプラの木は芽吹きの季節であった。岩絵とガンダーラ美術を目に焼き付けることができた旅だったとご満悦の様だ。フンザは“風の谷のナウシカ”の舞台になったところと言われている。（2023/3/24〜4/1）

My master wanted to visit Gandhara someday in the future from junior high school days. Recently, he knew that "Many rock pictures of Gandhara will be buried in water by dam construction in near future". So my masters left for Gandhara to see them. Hunza is called Shangri-La and a model location of the animation called "Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind". In Hunza, the flower of the apricot, almond and cherry blossoms were in full bloom. The tree of poplar was a season of the sprouting. (Mar.24~Apr.1, 2023)

小鳥
今朝、庭先で鶯の初音を聞いたが姿は見えず。
主人は米国のグランドサークルに出かける前の3月9日に庭先とアルプス公園で撮った小鳥をブログアップするという。道東で野鳥撮影するために新調した超望遠レンズを使っての撮影。やはり野鳥は難しい。

Today my master uploads the photos of several small birds that he took in their garden and Alps-koen Park on March 9 before going to the Ground Circle.

ツアー“冬の道東を撮る”に参加
“冬の道東を撮る”という少人数のツアー（2月13日から6日間）に参加し、主人達はひたすら鳥を追った。主人は超望遠レンズを注文し、届いてからその大きさと重さに驚いた。超望遠レンズでの野鳥撮影の大変さを思い知った。それと“The early bird gets the worm. ” と言われるように鳥の朝は早い。野鳥を撮影するには野鳥より早く起きる必要がある。6日間のうち朝3時起きが2回、5時起きが1回、またフクロウの撮影では夜中4時まで粘った。
6日間で11種類の準絶滅危惧類・絶滅危惧類の哺乳類と鳥類を観察した。
Tour to photograph Eastern Hokkaido of the winter
My masters participated in a small group tour (from Feb. 13 to Feb.18) to photo “Eastern Hokkaido of the winter", and they chased wild birds eagerly. My master ordered a super telephoto lens and he was surprised at both the size and weight when he got it. He thought that the wild bird shooting, using the super telephoto lens, was a hard labor. Furthermore, the birds are active early in the morning. "The early bird gets the worm." Therefore, they had to get up early than wild-birds were active. During 6-days tours, they got up twice at 3:00 a.m. and got up once at 5:00 a.m. He did not sleep until 4:00 at midnight to photo “Ketupa blakistoni”.
During this tour they observed eleven species of both mammals and birds which are appointed by both near endangered species and endangered species.

正月飾りやダルマ、書初めなどを焼いて無病息災を願う行事は全国的にあるが、「三九郎」と呼ぶのは、長野県の中信地方だけのようだ。我が主人は地区の役員の一人として三九郎作りに参加した。子供達は残り火でまゆ玉(*)を焼いた。（1/14）

For praying of good health, there is an event to burn decorations, Dharma and the calligraphy practice at the beginning of New Year in Japan. This event is called "Sankuro" in the Chubu region of Nagano. Jiro’s master participated in the making of “Sankuro” as a district officer. Children roasted Mayudama (*) over the embers. (Jan.14)
*まゆ玉とはお正月の餅飾りのことで、地方によっては餅花とかだんごさしと呼ぶ。
*: Mayudama is one of the rice cake decorations of New Year holidays. Mayudama is called “Mochi-bana” or “Dango-sashi”.

松本市四賀化石館バックヤードツアー
四賀化石館で大人のための化石教室が開催された。第2回の化石についての講義と収蔵庫見学に参加した。同館が保存している“マッコウクジラの化石”が世界最古であること長野県県内で多数化石が出土することなど興味深い講義を聴くことが出来た。孫に刺激されて化石に興味を持ち始めた主人にとってバックヤードツアーが出来たことは記録に残しておきたいことの様だ。(12月3日)

The fossil class for adults was held at the Matsumoto city shiga fossil museum. My masters had lectured on fossils and then observed the fossils that were stored at the museum. Their grandchildren inspired them to become interested in fossils. So the backyard tour was a valuable experience for them. (Dec.3)

気象庁は9月1日(金)に今年の夏の天候のまとめ、全国的に気温は平年を大きく上回り、1898年から統計を開始した日本の平均気温偏差は過去最高を記録したと伝えた。持続的な猛暑日、夏日は農作物に多くの影響を与えた。我が主人は花の開花でそれを実感した。その実感を2，3の例をアップすることで記憶に止めておきたいと思っている。ツキミソウの開花は9月のブログにアップした。一度咲き終わったが、11月に入ってからまた咲いた。小諸城址公園では紅葉の時期にツツジが満開。庭師がこんな事は今までになかったと言っていた。こぼれ種から芽をふいた矢車草が12月に花を咲かせた。

According to the report, the temperatures across the country were well above usual year, and the mean temperature deviation, which had been taken since 1898, recorded the highest value this year. The farm products were affected by intense heat. My master realized the intense heat might influence flowers by the blooming twice a year.

松本城のプロジェクションマッピング
松本城天守のイルミネーションが昨年のレーザーマッピングから今年はプロジェクションマッピングになった。１回9分間の映像を3回繰り返し見た。最初はお堀に映りシンメトリックなお城を楽しんだ。途中から雪が舞い始め、しだいに激しく降り出した。ブラボーと紙吹雪が舞っているようだった。
Projection mapping to Matsumoto-jo Castle
The illuminations of the Matsumoto-jo Castle were performed by laser mapping last year. In this year they are carried out by projection mapping. The running time of the projection mapping is nine minutes. My masters saw it three times. At the first time they enjoyed the projection mapping to the castle and the reflections in the moat without snowing. During the second time, it became to snow.

爺ヶ岳のヒマラヤヒダがどの様に形成されていくかを定点観察する場所を捜しに出かけ、そのついでに白馬大橋まで行って見た。帰宅時吊り雲の塊をみてパタゴニアを思い出した。
