桜−２ 吉野山
Cherry Blossom-2 Yoshinoyama
Yoshinoyama was loved from old days by writers and artists, doing such as Saigyohoushi, Basho Matsuo. Hideyoshi, reigned over the whole country, went cherry-blossom viewing, as a master of tea ceremony with 5000 people, including Ieyasu Tokugawa, Hideie Ukita, Toshiie Maeda, Masamune Date and others eminent military commanders in1594. Neko-Jiro’s master went out to Yoshinoyama this year. It is said that the cherry tree flowers sequentially from the Yoshino station, to the Shimo 1000 trees, then to the Naka 1000 trees, finally the Kami 1000 trees. In this year, the cherry tree flowered sequentially from the top to the bottom unlike an average year, because the temperature had jumped. As for the owner of the hotel, it is said that the flowering is early approximately two weeks.
When they arrived at the Yoshinoyama, it was soft light, but a cloud gradually thickened. My master went to bed while thinking whether it would be rain tomorrow, because the weather forecast was rainy after cloudy weather. In a lucky thing, the morning sun shined. My master’s wife says, “You are an indeed fine man”.
古くは西行法師、松尾芭蕉などの文人墨客に愛された吉野山。秀吉が1594年に徳川家康、宇喜多秀家、前田利家、伊達政宗ら錚々たる武将をはじめ、茶人、連歌師たちを伴い、総勢5千人で行った花見でも有名である。今年は吉野山に行こうと奥さんに言われ出かけた。例年は吉野駅から下千本、中千本、上千本と順次桜が開花すると言われているが、今年は気温が一気に高くなったことから上千本の日当たりの良いところにある桜から開花し、上千本から下千本へ桜が降りてくるように開花したと宿の女将が話していた。開花も２週間ほど早いという。天気予報は曇り後雨であった。吉野に着いた時は薄日であったが、次第に雲が厚くなった。猫ジローの主人は、明日は雨かと思いながら床につく。翌朝雲が切れ、朝日が射した。奥さんに“流石に晴れ男”と言われる。中千本から上千本まで散策した。次第に風が出てきて時々花吹雪が舞った。下山し、電車に揺られはじめてからしばらくして車窓に雨粒が斜めに走った。
