紅葉狩り
　紅葉をもとめて戸隠の鏡池、志賀高原の雑魚川までドライブし帰路蓮池によった。夏の猛暑の影響か今年は艶やかな紅葉ではなく渋みのある紅葉であった。(10/19)

Fall-leaf viewing
At first may masters drove to Lake Kagami in Togakushi for colored leaves and then they drove to the Zako-Liver in Shiga Highlands. On the way home, they went to the Hasuike pond. The intense heat in this summer would influence the changes of colored leaves. The color taste of autumn leaves of this year is not fascinating. That is bitter. (Oct.19)

白駒池の紅葉と剣ヶ峰
　紅葉を探して十数年ぶりに白駒の池を訪れた。駐車場に7：30amに着いたが既に8割ほど埋まっていた。駐車場の木々の色づきが良かったので胸躍らせながら苔むした山道を進むと視界が開けた先に色鮮やかな紅葉を遠望することが出来た。白駒池を後に剣ヶ峰に登った。彼ら二人で北八ヶ岳の東側の山並みを楽しんだ。剣ヶ峰からの帰路に日向木場展望台から北横岳山腹の縞枯の様子がみてとれた。(10/13)

　They visited Shirakoma Pond looking for colored leaves for the first time in 10 years. At 7:30 a.m., 80% of the parking lot had been already occupied. The color of trees in the parking lot was so good. When they went ahead through the mossed mountain path, they found the colorful colored leaves on the opposite shore of the pond. After having enjoyed autumn colors of Pond Shirakoma, they climbed up the Ridge Kengamine. On the way home, they saw the bands of “Shimagare” of the Mt. Kitayokodake from the observation deck. 北横岳坪庭 　9月末に３泊４日で東北の栗駒山の紅葉狩りに出かけた。里は曇り晴れであったが、栗駒山は曇天から大雨であったため２泊して帰宅した。例年、10月の北アルプスは紅葉狩りで混雑することから連休前に登ろうと考えた。６日は北アルプスは厚い雲に覆われていたが八ヶ岳は晴れていたので彼らは坪庭まで散策した。既に坪庭の気温は零度であった。草紅葉が始まっていた。100年周期で起こる縞枯が目立った。７日朝乗鞍が初冠雪どころか裾野まで雪景色であった。

＜Tuboniwa of Kitayokodake＞ They went for autumn color of leaves viewing of Mt. Kurikoma in the Tohoku region at the end of September in 4 days and 3 nights. The weather of the village was cloudy, but Mount Kurikoma was a heavy rain from a cloudy sky. Therefore they stayed for 2 nights and came home. In an average year, the Northern Alps of October are crowded. So, they planed to climb before consecutive holidays. On October 6 a thick cloud covered the Northern Alps, but Mt. Yatsugatake cleared. They hiked to Tuboniwa of Kitayokodake. The temperature of Tuboniwa was zero degree. The autumn colors of the grass began. The shimagare* was outstanding. On the morning of 7th, Mt. Norikura was covered with snow from the summit to the foot. ＊:A “shimagare” means that a grove dies in a belt and it is said that the “shimagare” happens in a period for 100 years.
