The education level of Hunza is higher than other areas in Pakistan. In 1999, Hasegawa memorial school was established in commemoration of mountaineer Hasegawa who loved Hinza and died of a snowslide in Hunza. Hasegawa memorial school is a coeducation school accepting the students from kindergarten to high school. A public health nurse supported childcare.
