III. 奥入瀬渓流
夜半から風雨が強まり雷を伴った。早朝ホテルを出るときも雨であった。奥さんはまたも車窓から“フーフー”とやった。奥入瀬渓流では薄日が差した。
奥入瀬渓流は十和田火山が噴出した溶岩大地を浸食して出来あがった、十和田湖畔から流れ出る唯一の川である。川の両岸は馬門岩に見られる様に切り立っている。銚子大滝、九段の滝、白糸の滝、姉妹の滝、双白髪の滝、玉簾の滝、白布の滝、雲井の滝など十数条の滝をみる。

III. Oirasekeiryu (Mountain Stream in Oirase)
Wind and rain were strengthened from midnight and were accompanied by thunder. When they left the hotel early in the morning, it was rainy. The Lake Towada is a Chaldea lake. The Mountain Stream in Oirase is the only river flowing out of the shore of the Lake Towada. The both sides of the river rise steeply, as seen in Makado rock. There are waterfalls more than ten in the Oirase mountain stream.
