鹿教湯温泉 夢祈願
仕事帰りに鹿教湯温泉に立ち寄り“氷灯篭夢祈願”を見に行ってきたという。氷灯篭は湯端通りから五台橋を渡って文殊堂へさらに薬師堂周辺まで氷“篭”に蝋燭がともされる幻想的なイベントである。文殊堂には智慧を司る文殊菩薩が、薬師堂には医薬を司る仏・医王である薬師如来が祭られている。

My master went to drop in at Kakeyu Hot spring for a work return, and to watch "Ice Lanterns ". As for the ice lanterns, a candle is turned on of an ice "basket". The lanterns displayed from “the hot water street” to both Monjudo (hall dedicated to the Bodhisattva of wisdom and intellect, Monju) and Yakushido (hall dedicated to the Bodhisattva of the physician of souls, Yakushi).
追記
音楽は思い出を蘇らせる力があるという。主人は本にも当てはまると思った。数年前に高校時代に使った英作文の教材全３巻のうち１巻が出てきた。その時はこんなテキストを使ったなと思っただけでそれきりになっていた。ふと気になってネットで検索したところ50年以上前に使ったテキストが現役で2012年に改訂新版として発刊されていることを知った主人は早々丸善に発注した。届いたテキスト全３巻を紐解きながら高校時代の走馬灯を楽しんでいるようだ。

It is said that the music has power to revivify a memory. My master thinks that a book also has such power. One of three English compositions that he used in high school days came out several years ago. At that time, he did not care about it. Recently, he knew that “This book is published in now that passed more than 50 years!” So, he ordered all three volumes from Maruzen.
Receiving and opening pages of books lightly, he seemed to enjoy a revolving lantern of high school days.
