壱岐－１ 往路と帰路
壱岐に出かけた．「魏志倭人伝」には“又南渡一海千餘里、名曰瀚海、至一大國．”と記述されている．“一大国”は石原道博編訳では“一支・壱岐”と訳されている．
　壱岐への往路は天候に恵まれ北アルプスを眺め、瀬戸大橋を眼下に臨み、博多港から芦辺港までのジェットフォイルは海面を滑るように航行した．帰路は前々日からの時化でジェットフォイルは前日の午後から欠航となった．当日朝６時前にフェリーの事務所に問い合わせると「郷ノ浦から７時発のフェリーは運航予定であるが他のフェリー、ジェットフォイルは欠航が決まっている」との返事がかえってきたので勝本からタクシーで“春一番の塔＊”が有る郷ノ浦に向かった．運良く一等客室が取れた．快晴であったが高波で下からの突き上げとローリングピッチングで青ざめたと言う．（4/27-5/8）
＊：1859年「春一」という強烈な南風で53名の漁師が亡くなった．気象用語の「春一番」は壱岐が発祥の地．

Iki Island - 1　 On the way to Iki Island and back from there
On the way to Iki Island*, my master could look at Northern Alps and Seto-ohashi from the window of the jet．From the Hakata Port to the Ashibe Port he got on the Jetfoil. The sea was so calm that he hardly felt shaking on the ship.　
On the way back from Iki Island, the jetfoil was canceled owing to a rough sea. Therefore he took a ferry．The ferry swayed up and down, or right and left scarily, so he got seasick. (Apr.27-May8).
*: In ancient times, the international trade between Japan and the continent had been done via Iki Island (cf. Gishiwajinden, written between 280-297A.C.).
